Weekly Update | March 10 - March 15

The end of 3rd quarter is rapidly approaching, and we are looking forward to Spring Break, and then a strong finish to the 2018 - 2019 school year!

We appreciate you taking the time to look at Infinite Campus with your child to determine any missing assignments, incomplete work, or standards that need to be re-assessed before the end of the quarter.

The Riverview All School Art Show and Celebration of the Arts Fundraiser is this Friday, March 15th from 5:00 - 7:00pm. If your child has been in art this year, their artwork will be displayed. You will have the opportunity to purchase your child's framed artwork to support the arts at Riverview. We look forward to seeing you there!

End of year trips will take place May 29 - 31. Please talk with your grade level Outdoor Education rep to find out more information and see how you can help!

March Habit of the Month : Enthusiasm

Each month, we focus on a particular Habit of a Scholar. For the month of March, teachers and all Riverview Crew members are on the lookout for students exhibiting Enthusiasm, and Crew lessons have an emphasis around developing and maintaining enthusiasm for learning. We appreciate your continued support in conversations surrounding Enthusiasm at home.

Showing enthusiasm means being excited and curious about learning, and being eager working with others.

Students can show enthusiasm by:

  • Asking questions

  • Showing self-efficacy through positive statements and actions

  • Being open to and interested in new learning

  • Taking on risks and challenges

  • Actively engaging

General Reminders:

  • Cold Weather: Remember to send your child to school with appropriate clothing (hats, jackets, gloves, etc.). Students remain outside over 15 degrees, and they need the proper clothing to stay warm. If you need any assistance in acquiring warm clothing, please let us know!

  • Homework: We appreciate you helping your child stay organized, check in on their infinite campus, read 30 minutes each night, and practice math for 25 minutes. Here are more resources on how to help your child with their Executive Skills
