Weekly Update | April 7 - April 13

We have been having powerful and important conversations with your children this past week and into this week surrounding prejudice and discrimination, and encourage you to continue these conversations with your children at home.

CMAS starts this week! Please ensure students are getting plenty of rest, and are eating breakfast. Remind your children to do their very best.

SCHEDULE:

April 9, 10, 11 : CMAS ELA, 8:30 -10:30am

April 16, 17, 18: CMAS Math, 8:30 - 10:00am

Spring is certainly upon us, and we ask that you review the Riverview dress code. We appreciate your support in ensuring your student arrives at school wearing school-appropriate clothing.

End of year trips will take place May 29 - 31. Please talk with your grade level Outdoor Education rep to find out more information and see how you can help!

April Habit of the Month : Perseverance

Each month, we focus on a particular Habit of a Scholar. For the month of April, teachers and all Riverview Crew members are on the lookout for students exhibiting Perseverance, and Crew lessons have an emphasis around persisting through challenges. We appreciate your continued support in conversations surrounding Perseverance at home.

Showing perseverance means being able to persist through challenges.

Students can show perseverance by:

  • Completing work and fulfilling responsibilities

  • Overcoming obstacles, frustrations, and setbacks

  • Showing effort

  • Learning from mistakes and accepting feedback

  • Making multiple attempts to reach a goal
