Weekly Update | May 19 - May 25

Can you believe there are only 2.5 weeks left of this school year?! We still have plenty of learning to get into, and tons do to before the last day of school.

End of year trips will take place May 29 - 31. Please make sure you have connected with your grade level representative (see below) to ensure forms & payment have been submitted. We are aiming for 100% participation. If you need financial assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to Ms. Nickell or your child's crew teacher. Please talk with your grade level Outdoor Education rep to find out more information and see how you can help!

MAY Habit of the Month: TEAMWORK

Each month, we focus on a particular Habit of a Scholar. For the month of May, teachers and all Riverview Crew members are on the lookout for students exhibiting Teamwork, and Crew lessons have an emphasis around working together to achieve a common goal. We appreciate your continued support in conversations surrounding teamwork at home.

Showing teamwork means working with others to achieve a common goal.

Students can show teamwork by:

  • Being inclusive of all members

  • Fulfilling role within group

  • Working through conflicts and disagreements to find solutions

  • Communicating and actively listening

  • Sharing leadership and group responsibilities
