We will host 3 parent books clubs this year that will meet once per month. Parent Book Club is a great opportunity to meet with other middle school parents, share stories, and learn more about the development of your changing kids. They are very low-key & fun - come engage in conversation even if you didn't quite make it through the readings!
The Teenage Brain | Meets on the 2nd Monday of the Month, 5:30 - 6:30
- Find out what is really going on in your child's brain as they morph into teenagers!
Making Grateful Kids | Meets on the 3rd Monday of the Month, 5:30 - 6:30
- Over the past decade, science has shown that gratitude is one of the most valuable and important emotions we possess, and it is a virtue that anyone can cultivate. In fact, researchers have developed many different methods people can use to foster an attitude of gratitude, and the science shows that many of them really work.
Unselfie | Meets on the 4th Monday of the Month, 5:30 - 6:30
Hailed as “an absolute must-read” (Jean Twenge) and a book that “will change your kids’ lives” (Jack Canfield), UnSelfie by Dr. Michele Borba explains what parents and educators MUST do to combat the growing empathy crisis among children today—including a 9-step empathy-building program with tips to guide kids from birth through college, and beyond.
