Kennady Nickell

Dean of Culture

PEAK Coordinator 

Ms. Nickell grew up in Durango, Colorado and has a great appreciation for the outdoors.  She attended CU Boulder for Psychology and Women & Gender Studies.  After college, Ms. Nickell worked as a high school counselor in Durango before attending graduate school at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.  She completed her M.A. in Education with an emphasis in counseling.  Upon completion of grad school, Ms. Nickell moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to obtain her teaching license and work in our schools. 


Kennady considers herself a lifelong learner, and has since attained her Principal's license, and is continuing to gain a MA in School Counseling with an emphasis in Crisis & Trauma.  She has taught 3rd - 8th grade in the Roaring Fork School District, and thoroughly loves her role as the Dean of Culture & PEAK Coordinator at Riverview.


In her spare time, Ms. Nickell enjoys hiking with her dog Mako, skiing, rafting, and enjoying the outdoors however she can.
